Waking up in the sunny parish of Canhas, with a sea view stretching to the horizon, is truly the best way to start your days on the island.
In this area that has as much of a rural character as a residential one, it has all the facilities you need in the calm and tranquillity that so well characterises the more countryside areas.
Fully renovated and recently decorated, this dwelling has 3 spacious bedrooms, all with double beds, one of them with an en-suite bathroom. The second bathroom is available for all guests.
The kitchen, also renovated, offers you all the convenience you need to prepare your meals. Facilities such as an oven, microwave, and coffee machine are just some of these conveniences. In the laundry room, other amenities such as a washing machine, ironing board are available for guests.
The remaining areas are generous both in size and natural light coming from the large windows distributed throughout the rooms and living room.
The living and dining rooms are designed in an open space and have direct access to the inviting veranda of the accommodation.
The view from the accommodation extends to the horizon where the tranquil sea awaits. The beach of Ponta do Sol is one of the most beloved locations, and despite being a typical pebble beach, it has a bay with calm and clean water. In the vicinity, there are plenty of good local gastronomy options, cafés, and cultural activities.
One of the realities of this accommodation is precisely its rurality and easy access to the area's walks and levadas. Some of these are the Levada Velha dos Canhas, the Levada do Moinho and the Cabo da Levada.
Despite being located in a countryside area, just a few minutes by car or even on a short walk, you will find various services such as a mini market, petrol station and a wide variety of restaurant options.

We liked the view, the sunny terrace where we could have breakfast in the morning, the view from the kitchen into the garden, and the fact that everything was very clean and that the beds were comfortable.

The appartment is still very new and that made it a little bit uninspiring in a way for us. Some furniture or decoration could be added to make it a bit more homely and practical. Like: an outside table and chairs to sit on the terrace, a second brusee more

Like: an outside table and chairs to sit on the terrace, a second brush to clean the toilet, some thicker/extra curtains in the 2 front bedrooms to keep the light from the street lantern shining in at night, some extra kitchen equipment, like a measuring cup, a kitchen scale and a dishwasher. Also an electrical stove would be nice to have in the living room for the fresher evenings, and a doormat + coat rack at the entrance of the appartment. A coat rack in the bath rooms would also be nice, and a little rack in the showers to put soap and shampoo onto.
