This three-storey accommodation, with one apartment per floor, has been carefully designed to reflect the essence of Curral das Freiras.
Every detail transports us to the unique surroundings of the village — the colours, the textures, the breathtaking landscapes, the famous artisanal ginja and the chestnuts that enchant all who pass through here.

The Heart of Madeira – Tower, located on the ground floor, comprising two comfortable bedrooms, one with a double bed and another with two single beds, a modern bathroom with shower, and a practical kitchen fully equipped in open space with the living room, promoting a harmonious and welcoming atmosphere.

Enjoy an outdoor terrace where you can relax and breathe in the fresh air and take advantage of the comfort of mountain living.

To ensure your maximum comfort, all rooms are equipped with air conditioning and there is also a laundry area at your disposal.

The location is simply perfect: right in the centre of the village, just a few steps from the main church, with easy access to cafés, typical restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy and other essential services — all within less than 150 metres. From here, you can set off to discover stunning trails and viewpoints, such as the famous Poço dos Chefes, a space created by the locals themselves that reveals the true spirit of the local community.

Every detail transports us to the essence of Curral das Freiras — from the colours and textures inspired by the mountainous landscape, to references to chestnuts and the famous artisanal ginja, symbols of local hospitality.

The choice of the name "O Cidrão" is no accident. It refers to the mythical Montado do Cidrão, an area of great natural and cultural value in the parish, where the legend of the Bicho Cidrão dwells — a restless spirit of a shepherd who, according to tradition, haunts the mountains with his bellow that announces storms. This legendary spirit is part of the community's imagination, representing the deep connection between the people and the untamed nature that surrounds them. By naming the accommodation after this, we honour that heritage and evoke the mysterious, mystical and enchanting side of Curral das Freiras.

The apartment offers two cosy bedrooms — one with a double bed and another with two single beds — a modern bathroom with shower, fully equipped open-plan kitchen with living room, air conditioning in all rooms, laundry area and shared private parking.
